Wonderful greek-italian wedding in Bad Homburg

Here we meet today as a Wedding photographer in Bad Homburg for a new wedding reportage. I have met with my lovely couple a few month before the wedding and have planned everything back then. Here we are on their wedding day. There was a wonderful June morning with mixed weather forecasts. On my way there was sunny, a few clouds and quite warm. But quickly after I finished with the groom’s getting ready photos the sky started to turn grey and started to rain.

There is no problem for me to photograph in the rain but everybody prefers the sun! By the bride there were a lot of friends and family. There were a lot of greek traditions going on like dancing in circle, drinking and kicking glasses. I was so lucky – ok, not necessarily lucky but very alert to get the best shots. With one of the photos I grabbed also an important wedding photography award – right when the bride kicked a glass full with champagne.

The rain has stopped and we hurried to the church which was a 20 minutes drive away from their town. On the wedding day is very important to plan everything in until finest details. This is because in Germany there are always unpleasant surprises on he highway. Luckily we took a quick exit from the highway and left the traffic jam behind us. Did I mention that it was a very strong rain?

But just when we arrived to the church the sun quickly appeared! Not for long, because right after the emotional church wedding ceremony when we should have had our photo session it started again a strong storm. And guess what.. on our way back to the party location their car (a wonderful oldtimer) just stopped in the middle of the street. I quickly took them in my car. After that I rang to the car rental company to tell them where they can find their car and hurried to the party location.
