The bride and groom artistic wedding portraits are the one and only time you get to be alone together on your wedding day – for many couples (myself included) they ’re amongst their most favorite memories of their day. Portraits take around 30-60 minutes, and are the part of the day where I get to really create some magic for you – it ’s so much fun! Ideally we’ll have 60 minutes of uninterrupted time where we can leave your guests and wander off, but I can work faster if necessary (if we’re running late for the meal, for example) If you’re having a late ceremony, or a winter wedding, a “First Look”can also work really well to make sure you get some amazing photos in the very best light. Of course we can split this time and so your guests on stay too much alone. I might steal you for maximum 10 minutes right after the party started if I spot an amazing sunset and trust me it will worth it!
The photo shoot will take normally place at the wedding location. When the wedding location doesn’t offer too much we can find together a nice place. This can be a park, a field or a forest in the vicinity of the wedding location. The bride and groom photo shoot on wedding day can be done also on the streets, usually every city in Germany has an old city part. Other possible place can be in a castle, museum, on a river shore. I have photographed a lot of wedding where the couple had a nice rented old car. This is an excellent place for a the couple photo shoot.
Normally, as the best wedding photographer in Frankfurt, I can photograph everywhere so we don’t need to leave the wedding location. But if you wish a special location for your artistc wedding portraits I’m up to everything.
Das photo shoot on wedding day takes as long as the bride and groom wish. It can take from 15-20 min, up to two hours. A 2 hours photo shoot on wedding day is very rare and I remember just one wedding with so much time for the wedding couple artisc portraits. Usually the normal time is 1 hour. As I told earlier we can photograph the wedding portraits for an hour uninterrupted or we can split this time so we can photograph more moments of the day.
If you ask me, as a wedding photographer in Frankfurt, at what time of the day would I like to photograph the photo shoot with the bride and groom I will tell you always, before the sunset. Then is the best light for bride and groom portraits. Unfortunately just around the sunset is dinner programmed or speeches or other things related to the wedding day so I can’t say that I have photographed many wedding couples at the perfect hour for wedding photography. I had the pleasure though to meet some careful wedding couples who knew the importance of good light in wedding photography so we carefully planned together. They have decided to go for the photo shoot at sundown and, even if we didn’t have more than 20 minutes, the result was stunning.
Other couple listened to my advice and split the artistic wedding photo session in three parts so we had the opportunity to photograph in the afternoon, at sunset and in the evening.
