American destination wedding in Europe

Hello dear friends. Here we meet again on my blog with this American Destination Wedding in Europe. How hot is your summer? Well, mine is not that hot since I’ve moved to Germany. Ok, we had 38 degrees but that was only a day … one day in the entire summer! Normally there are around 25 degrees and a lot of rain. But, anyway I will present you today the second preview from the wedding I had the pleasure to photograph last winter. Yes, let’s go back to winter just in case your summer is too hot! Winter with a lot of snow and amazing guests from overseas because the newlyweds live in the United States now. It was a mixed wedding, American-European wedding! The day started with a lot of fun at the groom’s preparation, the boys knew how to have fun there: drinking, joking, photographing … they even hired a band to sing some folk songs! The location was a famous mountain resort in Romania. After the “getting ready” part we drove to the church where a “gang” of priests waited for us. It was such a great atmosphere there because the groom brought a close friend of him who was a priest and they held the religious ceremony together! This was something you can see once in a lifetime because the Orthodox Church usually doesn’t allow such things! I guess they have paid big money for that to happen. J Anyway the ceremony was wonderful and emotional and they looked soo happy! After the ceremony a confetti shower and some beautiful doves were waiting for them followed by our photo session. Unfortunately the Sun sets in the winter pretty quickly (I couldn’t rush the ceremony though!) so I’ve missed the sunset in the mountains. But in spite of this my bride and groom stood brave and walked on the thick snow to snap some photos in the cold. We didn’t spend too much time outside and we hurried to the party! Party which was a lot of fun! It is wonderful each time I have the opportunity to work at the weddings with friends such as the wedding planner and the videographer! I have another fun story about my assistant to tell you but I will tell you about it next time when I will present the full wedding! Stay tuned because I will try an experiment with my next post!
