Destination wedding in Germany – Civil marriage in Römer in Frankfurt am Main
Today I invite you to see the story of this Destination wedding in Germany Frankfurt am Main.
Römer is one of the most popular place to get married in Frankfurt am Main. That’s because maybe it is right in the center of the old city and very close to the main attractions in Frankfurt. There are also near some of the best restaurants in Frankfurt so a wedding there would be a good logistic decision for a party after the ceremony.
Why do I mention that? Because except the excellent location, there is nothing special about it. Actually it is the most boring (short) ceremony I have witnessed in Germany. Wellcome, do you take her, do you take him, exchange rings, kiss, good bye, …next! In almost all the other places I have photographed there is a small emotional and personal story told by the celebrant. But not here… Good that they have the Frankfurt Nasenchrank! I thought that maybe it was the wrong celebrant.. but I’ve shot another wedding there, a few month later with another celebrant and it was the same. That’s a pitty because the location is gorgeous and the couples deserves better! Anyway let’s get over it and get back to my lovely couple.
They were so lovely that day and I could read easily the emotions on their faces! There were just them alone with their families. After the ceremony and the formal group photos we went for a small photo shoot near the River Main. There was a rainy day but luckily we had some rain pauses when we could photograph without getting too wet. The old city center was unfortunately after a Music show and the stage was still there along with a lot of trucks. It was so tricky to get an angle without the scene and the trucks! We decided then to go to the river shore for our photo shoot and there was much better. They even had an amazing Mercedes Oldtimer.
I let you now enjoy the photos and until next time be well!
